Andreas Diary No. 32 – March / April 2010

There's so much around locally
The one thing so often asked by TGirls visiting Adam & Eve – either for the first time – of even regulars who have not ventured out and about – is "Where can I go".

Now before – I answer – here comes the usual health warning – no matter where you are, when it is or how fantastic you look – there's always going to be the possibility of a risk – but life is full of risks – if you didn’t venture out anywhere – you would miss out on what all the world has to offer. OK you get the message – going out is your decision – but wow locally there’s so much around that is TGirl friendly.

Countless times we’ve mentioned the Verge Bar, Green & Red Cantina etc for the evenings – and Brick Lane, the Rich Mix cafe for daytimes. Well here’s another - the IG Gallery. To give it it’s full name The Idea Generation Gallery. Just a teeter down Redchurch Street – I tried out my 6” with platforms as it’s a bit uneven for full blown 6” stilettos – towards the antique shop on the corner by Tower Cabs (regulars will know of them). IG Gallery is tucked in xxx Street with an unassuming entrance leading to their gallery area. Well what caught my attention was the event subject – “House of Hammer Horror”. The archetypical Dracula and horror films of the 60’s and 70’s. We had a great time there – mimicking the film posters and looking over the stills and memorabilia. A great place to enjoy a time out, then heading back the Antique Shop was open so we dropped by to check out their designer heels (in an antique shop!) and then the Lion outside the Loungelover Bar before heading off over Bethnal Green Road to Brick Lane for a coffee.

So next time you’re at Adam & Eve have a small adventure – and you’ll never know just what you might find.

February’s London Edge
We missed last years due to the snow – but this year we made it – and needless to say we have a few ideas for photoshoots in mind as a result. London Edge is always an anything goes (in outfit terms anyway) and this year I had another reason for going – to scout out outfits that could be suitable for our friends at Doreen’s Fashion to market. So I thought a bit of TGirl power dressing was in order! You can see the pictures – and see hopefully what I mean. Anyway we did spot a couple of "finds" so watch this space as they say. Also as usual to London Edge – plenty of characters (Hammer Horror strikes again! – See the photo) along the way, as well as a few favourites from the past including OutX from Italy.

Andreas Diary No. 31 – Xmas 2009 / Jan & Feb 2010

End of another busy year
Where has 2009 gone – I just can’t believe it’s over already – must be age! This year we have had more than our fair share of adventures at Adam & Eve – it’s hard to not miss out something from Heaven ‘n Hell with Federico in January, Off Her Trolley with actress Eleanor Bennett in the spring, Doreens in the autumn, and to cap it all the fantastic Japanese makeovers (see below) at the Adam & Eve Xmas party in early December.

Then there was our usual twice yearly outing to the London Edge Fashion Fair and Vincent and I visiting Tobacco Dock a couple of times for the backdrop to the 2010 calendar. One success from this year’s London Edge was another meeting with Kate Marshall – from Marshall & Co where we started to plan a 2010 photoshoot (more in 2010) but suffice to say I’m now the proud owner of one of her plastic see thru corsets.

Miss Transliving 2009
November saw Helen and I journey up the Chelmsford on a dark and misty Friday night to help Judge the 2009 Miss Transliving competition. Now if there were ever two girls up to short hem lines – well say no more – I copied Helen into a leather outfit and we hit the Verge Bar across the road before heading up to deepest Essex.

Yes we got lost – but hey – it’s a girl navigation moment! Anyway once there we had a fantastic time and Stacy and Shane made us so welcome. The event was really well organised, well attended and a few familiar girls (hi to Linda) were there as well. I hope our judging was objective, fair and even, and the right girls won.

Around midnight we said our farewells and headed back down the A12 to London, and after a powdering and brush up – we had time for a quick revisit to the Verge Bar for a final drink before closing. Mark at the Verge was as always welcoming. If ever a TGirl at Adam & Eve wanted to go out for her first time for an evening drink – then the Verge has to rate as one of the most TGirl friendliest bars around. Helen even remarked that Mark would check that you got back to A&E all ok – now that’s service for you.

Adam & Eve Christmas Party and the Japanese Makeover
Early December saw the regular and really well supported A&E Christmas party – although I was only able to attend for a very brief period, it was not an event to be missed as you will have already seen from Josie’s Girls of the Month - we were treated to the opportunity of a genuine Japanese makeover.

Calendar Time
Throughout 2009 I take the opportunity to get photos together for my next year’s calendar – and this year Vincent and I visited a favourite photo location of mine – Tobacco Dock to do a couple of shoots. That done – it’s off to the printers – but hey – getting a good deal meant a real bit of TGirl “power dressing” – so I visited Red Ox printers in my shortest black suit and 6” heels!

Finally – I wish you all a great Christmas and Happy New Year – looking forward to 2010.

Andreas Diary No. 30 – November / December 2009

Out and About
Busy times for sure – with the London Edge Fashion Fair in early September and then the Adam & Eve / Doreen Fashions shoot shortly after.

This Septembers London Edge was one of the best ever I have attended, along with Vincent and his partner Jacqueline we headed off to Olympia – signing in at the Press Desk and getting our Press Goodie Packs, we went upstairs to London Edge.

Now the Fair is split over two floors, Edge upstairs being mainly the Goth, Punk, Fetish and anything goes fashion styles, whilst the ground floor Central being the Street Wear, Skate, Hoodie and mainstream styles. Evidence to both floors this September was the proliferrence of 50’s inspired styles.

Upstairs we straight away met an old acquaintance – Luca with Outx Modamerica from Italy who we had used a number of years ago in a shoot. Luca had his usual mix of barely there styles –– but always TGirl friendly miniskirts on hand and his new silver chain mail effect looked very attractive. Further into London Edge we came across a number of new finds of TGirl suitable outlets, the first being Marshall & Co, with their fantastic clear plastic corsets. I tried one on there and then and it fitted a treat. They were definitely up for a TGirl fashion shoot (see below).

Other stands included a local manufacturer with their brightly coloured range of PVC corsets and matching miniskirts, and Laughing Vampire from Holland with their lush red satin Goth dresses. There was also what has to be the shortest micro mini skirt I have ever encountered at Falter who came all the way over from the States. Needless to say I’m going to get one posted to me hopefully – it’s far too short to wear out anywhere – unless you have some suggestions!! – It’s definitely a studio outfit I think.

Finally still at Edge we came across Insanity - with their Faux Fur outfits – that can turn any girl into the equivalent of a “Pink Honey Monster”. A real fun outfit that’s got to be worthily of a photo around London somewhere.

The Edge this year was in fact so good – we never got to visit Central down stairs except on our way our when our time was up with a cab from Tower waiting outside.

As a postscript to London Edge – many of the potential suppliers we met seemed really up for the TGirl market on the day – but when it came later to being up for a photoshoot – few if any were still interested. Marshalls – who made such fantastic plastic corsets when into temporary financial exile – but still wanted to help – sadly many others simply failed even to have the curtsey to respond. Name and shame – no, but I reward those who at least kept in touch – yes by including their names. The other can remain just that anonymous.

The other big highlight of the last two months was the Doreen Fashions shoot at Adam & Eve – you can read all about it in the next edition of Transliving – but needless to say with the inaugural opening of the Adam & Eve studio and 12 Girls in numerous outfits total "organised" mayhem ensued. Great fun for all. I can only give but a taster but with 3 of us stepping out across Brick Lane in our minidresses brought many a white van man to a standstill.

I also quickly dropped in to the Vintage shop across the road and picked up a sequinned Boob Tube which was an easy double for a mini skirt – a real bargain – enjoy the pictures.

Finally my busy month was completed with a visit to see Sarah the Editor at Trojan Publishing down near Old Street. It was definitely a business girl look for that day – nothing too short – but I retained my new Bordello 6” platform heels. A girl can’t abandon all her trade mark looks. Needless to say getting a Black Cab was no problem, and the walk across Old Street square in these heels was entirely manageable, despite their awesome height (give them a try girls – you won’t be disappointed – see Xtreme Footwear’s web site).

My meeting with Sarah was to discuss possible shoots for 2010. Time flies!!

Andreas Diary No. 29 – September / October 2009

Extremes
Summer if usually a quiet time – with holidays and all that – and also really hot weather and make up don’t go well if you’re venturing out beyond the cool environment of Adam and Eve.

With the regular event of the London Edge Fashion Fair in early September – usually signs the arrival of some autumn outings. However earlier this summer I did a fantastic fun photoshoot in the Docklands area with Vincent Hymas in preparation for putting together a 2010 Calendar (including the Pink Rubber Micro Dress from Honour) but also possibly the shortest micro skirt I’ve ever worn! I’ve belts that are wider than this! Hence “Extremes” because shortly after Josie had a call from Doreen’s Fashions – who had a whole new range of glamorous sequined evening dresses and gowns (and some clubbing outfits) they wanted us to show off in the 2010 Adam and Eve Calendar.

So the scene is being set for the inaugural shoot at Adam and Eves very own studio area – and as you read this Diary the casting call is already out on Josie’s web site for calendar models. Now something like this does not get organised overnight and the first thing to do was to visit Doreen’s and check out their outfits.

And hence the other “Extreme” – me trying out a full length sequined evening gown and Bolero jacket – with 6” heels of course.

Micro, micro mini to near floor length gown!

Oh and an excuse of course to head out into the summer sun in one of my favourite mini skirt and heel combinations. Josie and I were driving over to Doreen’s and she had parked her car in Bethnal Green. Cue – stepping out in my red mini and those heels that I wore for a whole day around London last year for an article I did for Trojan – anyway besides the usual passing toot from White Van Man – we dropped into Stamp as Josie was parked right outside.

Now for those girls not acquainted with Stamp – they are our local and really friendly and helpful Hair Saloon – so besides a quick pose outside we dropped into for a few pictures in their 60s style “bubble chair” real Bardot style for sure.

Then it was off to Doreen’s in Lea Bridge Road to sort out their evening outfits. Between me playing around trying a few on and Josie photographing each style we were able to sort out some possibilities for the calendar shoot.

So what is usually a peaceful time has been busy busy and certainly extremes in skirt lengths.

Andreas Diary No. 28 – August 2009

Out of Sync...
No don’t worry it’s not you – but with Josie’s Web Site upgrade and the summer hols – we were not able to get out on time the usual two monthly format. I’m sure normal service will be resumed in September!

There’s been quite a lot going on – but as seems always the way I can only pass on snippets sometimes until photos and articles are published. But here goes anyway –

Girl Nite Out at Brighton
We’ve got withdrawal symptoms about the no longer Miss TG Brighton – yes I know it was chaotic at times – but it was always a guaranteed fun night – and it’s sorely missed. Hence why Josie and a few of us had our very own Nite Out – staying at the Ambassador Hotel and then dining in our favourite Italian restaurant just a short teeter away. (It’s that good I can’t remember the name! – unless it’s a combination of age and alcohol more likely!). Then off clubbing. It was a good night – but a chilly Wednesday is a little quiet on the clubbing front – so next year it’s a warm Thursday we are going to plan – a bit more lively.

Off Their Trolley – Meet up with Eleanor
By the time you read this Diary – Transliving will have published the Article and Photoshoot we did with the actress Eleanor Bennett for her new one woman show. The press launch was on Monday 13 July – I was unable to go – but I hear from Josie that the Girls that did, had a really great time in Leicester Square! No doubt Josie will get some pics up on the web site.

We did meet up with Eleanor a month or so ago now to get all the pictures from the shoot – yes it was over 1500! and we did have CDs made for all the girls on the shoot. Our meeting was at the Rich Mix cafe eventually – we did do a stroll down Brick Lane that day looking for any new cafes opening – they all seem to come and go like the wind – but eventually we decided on the Rich Mix. (Good Andrea teetering down Brick Lane didn’t go amiss!)

Off Their Trolley – Back to Honour
The shoot we all did was in raunchy or glamorous nurse’s outfits – I of course had a PVC outfit from our friends at Honour – but it was for another reason (well Article and Pics) that I returned to their offices at Watford to drop off some outfits. Remember “Heaven ‘N Hell” well the PVC outfits used were from Honour.

Now it’s a fatal flaw of mine – but I checked their web site a few days before and in their sale was a pink rubber dress. 100% Andrea style for sure – it was short!

I headed up to Watford an hour’s drive from Adam & Eve – sorry nothing too demure a black leather mini skirt was as real white van head turner and meet up with the guys and girls at Honour. The Pink Rubber dress fitted perfectly – Just now need an excuse to wear it!

Andreas Diary No. 27 – May / June 09

April was another hectic but good month – with the publication of Heaven ‘n Hell in Transliving – yes I did have great fun with Federico in the basement bar of the Green and Red Bar (once called the O2 Bar – remember that from a few years ago) – yes it was a bit cold and the chains did hinder me a bit but Federico was the perfect gentleman. That shoot was planned before Christmas – but still on the day the no show of three other models was very disappointing and totally unprofessional – however this was more than made up by Federico – so I really do hope he gets plenty of paid work. I could only pay in kind (yeah I wish – I know what you’re thinking!) but he gets credited in Transliving – and then there is the fantastic PVC outfits that our friends at Honour provided for the shoot. Needless to say I’ve brought the micro mini skirt – there’s no way that’s going back!

March and April were also busy for another reason - Sexy Nurses! – were asked by actress Eleanor Bennett to help her with an urgent publicity shoot for her one woman show “Off Her Trolley” – Eleanor needed 6 TGirls for a shoot at Urban Studios – and needless to say the Girls at Adam and Eve did not disappoint – with Helen, Jo, Linda, Sophie, Jan and myself getting our caring skills together. We met up with Eleanor, her publicist Beate and photographer Andy for a coffee in bar above Adam & Eve in March. I was out that day previously visiting Liz the editor at Trojan based in Old Street. So I was my usual demure self!

At the time of writing this Diary – I’ve not yet seen the result – although I believe around 1500 pictures were taken! For my outfit – I contacted Honour again (I bet they must be sick of me by now) and they sent me this blue PVC nurses outfit – its identical to the one Josie already has at Adam & Eve – just smaller in size – so if you’re into uniforms.... need I say more.

The day of the shoot was the usual mayhem – but organised mayhem – and by midday 6 TGirls were hard at work in the studio. Eleanor, Beate and Andy had already arrived at the studio at 10.00 and by 11.00 were shooting the single shots of Eleanor before the first of our Nurses arrived shortly thereafter. All our Girls had their own individual shoots done as well as the business of the day – that of Eleanor’s publicity photos for her forthcoming tour.

The shoot lasted well into the afternoon with everyone having a great time and what we did with the giant pills and the hypodermic –well you’re just have to wait and see.

April was also a busy month for a “darker” shoot – seem to be doing a lot like this recently first “Heaven ‘n Hell” now this – umm – well at least it’s different – anyway back to the plot – this was for a “top shelf” type magazine – and just leave it at that – oh and I wore that black PVC micro skirt from Honour again. I knew that would come in useful.

This diary ends with what we are up to next – returning the remaining PVC outfits to Honour in Watford, meeting up with Eleanor to go through the Nurses shoot and get individual CDs made up for all the girls who participated, sorting out this Summers multi girl shoot for Transliving and oh yes – the Adam & Eves girls night out in Brighton.

Busy times - Andrea

Andreas Diary No. 26 - March / April 09

2009 Starts Another Year
It’s only just January and already I’ve been out and about in readiness for another photoshoot - for our friends at Transliving - deadline mid Feb - so no pressure then!

It’s going to be a raunchy PVC clad shoot - but I’ve still to get my outfit sorted and then there’s the venue - oh and a sexy good looking guy to flaunt it with.

Clothing was from Honour - they’ve got a shop at Waterloo and now they’ve move their main offices and warehouse to Watford - so it was on a crisp January morning that I found myself driving up to Watford - straight from A&E up through north London and onto the M1.

All quite easy - although bare legged in denim mini skirt please the lorry drivers I’m sure. I was after something tight and raunchy in PVC and our friends at Honour didn’t disappoint - the micro skirt was short even by my standards! Based in a small industrial estate in Watford I decided against venturing outside dressed in this PVC - at least for the time being - but after the shoot is published - who knows. Outfit sorted. Venue - well it was going to be a dark, raunchy and menacing type feature - so as is so often the case the perfect venue just happens to be right on the doorstep of A&E. Remember last year when we did the St Trinians shoot - we looked everywhere for a School type location - only to find the Rochelle School right of our doorstep. Well this happened again when we found the newly decorated basement bar of the Green and Red Bar (remember the O2 bar) - newly decorated in Black - just right for our dark PVC theme. Vincent Hymas our photographer was well up for this and so all that was left was to get a suitable male model. Back in December 2008 I started the process of with a casting call both through our friends at Transliving and also on a professional casting site. This came up with over 30 replies of which I shortlisted 4. But best laid plans and all that - well on the day it was only one - BUT you will just have to believe me when I say he was more than just right for the job Me dressed in a PVC micro skirted outfit and him in tight fitting PVC shorts - putting me in chains and then there was the whips - you’ll just have to look out for the next edition of Transliving to see what happened next!!!

Sexy Nurses!

We’ve also had an urgent request from an actress Eleanor Bennett who’s doing a TGirl photoshoot as part of her one woman show and also for a charity CD she is producing.

She contacted us through Vicky Lee at the Wayout Club and also she met Helen and Christine at the club. Anyway we are now arranging a shoot at Urban Studios and looking for a couple more girls to come along - so if you are interested - give Josie a quick call.
